Concentric provides Project Management Office (“PMO”) support to New York’s large investor-owned utilities and works with Subject Matter Expert teams to prepare comments in NY REV-related proceedings. Our work began in 2014 and 2015 with the seminal “Track 1” and “Track 2” policy proceedings that addressed business model and ratemaking issues, respectively. Subsequent comments have addressed virtually every policy and implementation issue associated with new business models, the future role of the utility, integration of distributed energy resources, clean energy, rate design and DER compensation, cost recovery, and incentives. While we continue to work on policy matters, our efforts currently focus on implementation (e.g., EV make-ready investments and energy storage procurement) and achieving New York’s clean energy targets.
