Colin Burns is a Senior Project Manager in Concentric’s depreciation practice, Concentric Advisors ULC, with over twenty years of experience conducting depreciation studies for clients across Canada and the United States.
Mr. Burns’ areas of expertise include data processing, Iowa curve estimation, cost of removal, gross salvage estimation, statistical analysis, depreciation expense analysis, testimony preparation, post filing services, business analysis, service life estimation, financial and actuarial analysis, simulated retirement analysis, regulatory compliance, gas demand forecasting, and financial rates analysis. As a consultant, Mr. Burns has assisted numerous clients with evaluations of complex financial data to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the natural gas, electric utility, pipeline, transmission, distribution, generation, and railway industries across North America. Prior to joining Concentric, Mr. Burns worked at a North American pipeline company based in Western Canada, where he specialized in gas demand forecasting and Canadian pipeline marketing & commercial services as a business and financial analyst.
Mr. Burns holds a Civil Engineering Technology-Computer Network Administration diploma from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. He has been a member of the Society of Depreciation Professionals since 2005.
