Summary of Experience
Mr. Small is a licensed professional engineer with twenty-nine years of combined experience in management consulting, transmission and distribution planning, and operations at an electric utility. He is a thought leader and highly-experienced senior member of Concentric’s Future of Energy team and focuses on Grid Modernization and Distributed Energy Resource (DER) integration. By leveraging his engineering and utility operations background, Mr. Small offers clients a cohesive Future of Energy strategy that combines technology, finance, and regulatory services.
Before joining Concentric, Mr. Small led teams at Black & Veatch Management Consulting and Bridge Energy Group. His most recent work has focused on the development of operational strategy for integrating DERs with retail and wholesale markets. Mr. Small holds masters degrees in electrical engineering and business administration.
