Hanhan Hammer is a power industry expert with more than 17 years of experience across the entire electricity value chain, including wholesale electricity markets, ISO/RTO operations, utility regulation, transmission planning, infrastructure development, and regulatory strategy. She brings a comprehensive perspective on how market, operational, regulatory, and investment decisions intersect across the electric industry.  

At Concentric, Ms. Hammer advises utilities, developers, grid operators, investors, and regulators on complex regulatory, market, and strategic matters. Her work includes large load integration, transmission planning and cost allocation, generation and load interconnection, wholesale market design, and compliance with numerous Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) orders, including the Show Cause Orders on Large Load. She also advises on grid reliability and utility investment strategy. 

Ms. Hammer has provided expert testimony before the FERC and the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission. Her analyses and strategic guidance have supported clients in securing key regulatory approvals, informing capital investment decisions, developing rate and tariff structures, and identifying new market opportunities. Clients value her ability to translate complex regulatory and market developments into actionable business strategies and investment decisions. 

Prior to joining Concentric, Ms. Hammer designed market rules at ISO New England (ISO-NE) and oversaw competitive performance monitoring efforts at Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) and Southwest Power Pool (SPP). With experience across three ISO/RTOs and in advising a wide range of market participants, she helps clients navigate challenges across jurisdictions, institutions, and market structures.
