Hanhan Hammer has over fifteen years’ experience in ISO/RTO electricity markets with extensive knowledge of renewables and emerging technologies, ancillary services, market price formation, grid operations, and regulatory strategies.
Ms. Hammer’s areas of expertise include Resource Market Participation, e.g., energy storage, co-located resources, wind, solar PV, demand response, distributed energy resources (DERs); Market Pricing. e.g., LMP formation and forecasting, transmission congestion pricing, load-shed scarcity pricing; Regulatory Compliance. e.g., FERC Order 2222, Order 841, Order 831, Order 825; as well as day-ahead and real-time ancillary services products and energy adequacy. She has served as an expert before committees, industry forums, and regulatory agencies. Her collaborative approach to working with stakeholders and regulators has achieved consensus among diverse groups.
Prior to joining Concentric, Hanhan was a market designer for ISO-NE from 2014 to 2024, and a market monitor for MISO and SPP from 2009 to 2014, where she drafted State of the Market Reports, performed market data analysis, and presented to the stakeholders’ committees, State PUCs, and the FERC. She has also developed market monitoring parameters, data warehouse and market performance dashboard.
