Wale Akanni has contributed his skills in research and analytical support in the development of expert testimony across multiple projects in several jurisdictions across the United States and Canada. His area of expertise includes lead-lag studies and cash working capital analysis, revenue requirement, determination of return on equity and the cost of capital, benchmarking analysis, and prudency review for litigation support. His experience also includes review and assessment of shared services and affiliate company costs across gas, electric and water utilities. Mr. Akanni has assisted in preparing rate case-related filings in several jurisdictions including Alaska, Connecticut, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana, New Jersey, New York, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Texas, Virginia and, West Virginia.
In a recent assignment, he reviewed the shared services and associated costs charged by a centralized service company to affiliate companies operating in several jurisdictions across the United States.
Mr. Akanni holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as an M.B.A. with a specialization in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Mr. Akanni is also a licensed professional engineer in the Province of Alberta, Canada. Before joining Concentric in 2020, Mr. Akanni worked as research engineer at Nova Chemicals, a petrochemical company based in Calgary, Canada.
